HARD EDGE PAINTINGS (2020 - PRESENT)
This collection of hard edge abstract work explores compelling colour and shape relationships that delight the senses with a minimalist, retro inspired aesthetic. These Geometric Expressionist works are fluid explorations and story telling of the relationships and balance between colour and form. Through colour, layering, form and structural assembly, these pieces channel emotional narratives and moods - to which their titles hint. As a custom framer, I am interested in the integration of the frame into the artwork, providing a sculptural element and a fracturing of the enclosed space inside the frame - allowing the artwork an expansion point, or a point of freedom in each piece through the clean slices of the frame.
