HARD EDGE PAINTINGS (2020 - 2022)
Abstract Hard Edge works explore compelling colour and shape relationships that delight the senses with a minimalist, retro inspired aesthetic. Intended to be like candy for the eyes, these works are fluid explorations of the balance between colour and form. As a custom framer, I am interested in the integration of the frame into the artwork, providing a sculptural element and a fracturing of the enclosed space inside the frame - allowing the artwork an expansion point, or a point of freedom in each piece through the clean slices of the frame.
